Youth Ministry at First Baptist Church

The goal of the student ministry at First Baptist Church is to connect students with other Christians, to help grow them in their faith, to equip them for ministry, and challenge them to honor God with their lives; while bringing other non-believing teenagers to know Christ.

The most important part of First Baptist Youth Ministries is the team effort. Everyone has a role and responsibility which provides for an organized and growing ministry. Rather than just attending youth group events, the students have a large role in the decision-making and production of our activities. They are given ownership of this ministry. Not only does this facilitate the development of commitment and leadership, it strengthens their personal and spiritual growth.

This is accomplished through:

- Evangelism - Theme Nights and Outreach events
- Fellowship - AfterGlow’s, 5th Quarters, etc.
- Discipleship - Camps / Retreats, Sunday School, Accountability / Small Groups
- Ministry - Video / TV, Sound, Drama, Missions events / trips
- Worship - 10:45 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on Sundays, 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays The Danville

First Baptist Church Youth Ministry exists to:

- Proclaim our faith to others
- Magnify Christ in our lives
- Adopt students in fellowship
- Discover God’s Word
- Love those in need

MADLY (Making A Difference in the Lives of Youth) is a worship service designed for teenagers. Each Wednesday night at 6:30 PM our youth meet for a time of worship, games, videos, dramas, and a challenge. This service gets them away from the rut and routine of the week, allows them to get refreshed and ready for the rest of the week. Each month will have a theme that provides direction and a way to connect with the current needs of today’s youth culture.
