Critical Outreach



The Critical Outreach team supports church members and the community in times of urgent need. They are available to provide meal delivery, housekeeping, visiting, yard work, transportation assistance, general errands, etc. If there is a need, please get in touch with Amber Weiskircher and she will see that the need is met.

Music


Church worship music communicates and expresses the sense of awe and wonder in the presence of God.   The Music Ministry helps the congregation to worship and praise God through songs and music.  Our music ministry opportunities include: Choir (ages 12 and up), Praise band (guitars, drums, keyboards and singers), Small groups of soloists made up of instrumentalists and singers, piano and organ. The church’s ministry of music is all for the glory of God.




Greeters

Our greeter ministry involves people with smiling faces and friendly voices to

welcome people as they come to worship with us. It uses people who are

available no later than 10:30 am on Sunday mornings and can stay after the

worship service for a few minutes. Either time there may be questions to answer

about the activities we have. There is literature to hand out to visitors as well.

Virginia Leigh WOM Group was established in 1991. This group does mission action projects that minister to the people outside of our church. 


These are some of the projects that we do:

  • Take prepackaged snacks and Gideon Bibles to Danville Police Department and Boyle Co. Sheriff's office
  • Donate toiletries to Lisa Walker Women's Facility in Harrodsburg (women's branch of Isaiah House)
  • Assist during our VBS (outreach to children outside our church)
  • Deliver Appreciation goodie bags to daycare workers in Harrodsburg 
  • Fill food boxes around town with non-perishable food items
  • Prepare food boxes for benevolence needs (people stopping by our church for help)
  • Take treats weekly for patients receiving treatments at Cancer Center
  • Prepare thanksgiving food basket and Christmas gifts for a family assigned to us by the Family Resource person at local schools
  • Coordinate the annual Coat Drive


We welcome all ladies to join us as we serve The Lord by reaching out to those around us! We meet the second Saturday of every month at 10:30 AM in the fellowship hall.
